Villa renovation / Auckland, Auckland
Huntingtree
The project
A character home, opened to the park.
Huntingtree is a complete renovation of an existing villa, reconfiguring the bedroom wing and adding a new family bathroom and ensuite within the original house. At the rear, a modest extension continues the existing roof form to create a generous open-plan kitchen and living space. Large sliding doors open onto a new deck and sheltered outdoor living area, bringing the garden and nearby park into view. New insulation and an upgraded air-conditioning system bring year-round comfort to the original home.
